The Challenge

There’s a lot going on in the content marketer’s day. Managers and marketing leads are already skipping lunch and nursing a lukewarm energy drink, just trying to get everything done. Adding headcount isn’t always an option, but adding hours to your day isn’t, either.

You need a partner who can take the reins and produce high-quality content that retains your brand’s personality and SEO best practices.

The Solution

Content production with a knowledgeable, SEO-focused B2B writer makes all the difference in your workday and your results. A great freelancer is worth their weight in gold—while costing half the budget of a full-time hire. You get clean, focused copy and precious hours back every week.

The process

  1. Discovery Call

We meet up for an engaged, 30-minute call to discuss your content goals, your current struggles, and the things you’d most like to hand off to an outside writer.

  2. Content Scope

We outline the quick wins you’d like to experience this month, decide on the roadmap and cadence for new content, scope out deliverables (creative briefs, keyword research, etc.), and set dates for first draft delivery. Need SME interviews included? No problem! One of my favorite aspects of content is talking shop with the smartest people in the room.

  3. Execution

I get to work, drafting SEO-optimized, bursting-with-personality content. We edit until you’re thrilled (usually in 1-2 rounds), give it a final brush for grammar, CTA intent, and content completeness, and get ready for the praise (and the performance metrics) to roll in.

  4. Performance review

Once a month, we’ll do a quick meeting or email to discuss content needs and performance, brainstorm topics (if needed), tweak the approach, and get ready for another 30 days of low-stress content production.

Is this service for you?

Content production is calling your name if…

  1. You’re a busy in-house content marketer who is juggling everything and needs an industry-savvy writing partner to keep the editorial calendar moving along.

  2. The decision-maker in your content or marketing team who needs content help but faces a slimmed-down budget that won’t support another in-house team member.

  3. A business owner who has higher-value things to do than try to figure out blogging. Let a pro handle it for you. (I can even help you with a content strategy that produces great results).

Investment and Logistics

What to expect from this Project

Financial Investment

Monthly content packages start at $3,000 for four (4) 1,500-word blogs, complete with client-provided SEO keywords, best practices, and high-authority external linking with recent stats and value-added information.

For smaller budgets, we can discuss your needs and come up with a plan.

Time Investment

  • A 30-minute discovery call to discuss your goals for the project. (I promise it will be enjoyable!)

  • A one-hour monthly planning meeting to lay out the content roadmap. For ongoing engagements, this can occur quarterly.

  • A short creative brief approval (if not client-provided). This quick (but essential) step helps me get your content drafted and published on schedule.

  • Editing time should be minimal, although the initial batch may take longer as I refine for tone and brand specifics.

Content production with a specialized B2B writer comes with the benefit of accurate tone, clean copy, and fewer edits. The production cadence becomes predictable and low-touch, allowing you to focus on everything else that's weighing down your to-do list.

Deliverables

For each month of blog production, you can expect:

  • A content roadmap outlining the content cadence and delivery dates for new assets.

  • (Optional) Four (4) detailed creative briefs outlining the intent, keywords, linking, and suggested outline for each blog.

  • Four polished and complete blog assets written to your brand specifications, using SEO best practices.

  • A monthly content performance call to review the key performance metrics for each asset.

Timeline

3-4 weeks (one asset per week). You’ll start the month with four new briefs and end it with four new pieces of content!
